Who we are

This website is run by Cleveland Kitchens (NW) Limited, trading as Cleveland Kitchens & Bedrooms, of Yardley Centre, 1D Yardley Road, Kirkby, Liverpool L33 7SS. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. This means we decide how and why it is used, and we are responsible for looking after it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

When you fill in an enquiry or booking form, or contact us by phone or email, we may collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number and postcode
• Details of your project, such as the room, the style you like, your timescale and your budget
• Photos, plans or drawings of your room that you choose to upload or send us
• Your preferred appointment time and any notes you add
• Records of our conversations and emails with you

If you become a customer we will also hold your address, survey measurements, designs, quotes, orders, payments and fitting details.

When you use the website we collect information about how it is used, such as the pages you visit, only if you agree to analytics cookies. See our cookie policy.

Please do not include sensitive information, such as health details, in forms or photos unless it is needed for your project, for example if a kitchen must be designed for wheelchair use. If you do share it, we will only use it to design and fit your project.

How we use it and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange a showroom or home visit and prepare designs and quotes. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To supply and fit your kitchen, bedroom or other products, and to provide aftercare. Our lawful basis is performing our contract with you.
• To follow up an enquiry or quote you have not yet decided on, keep records of our work and improve our service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running our business, which we balance against your rights.
• To send you news or offers by email, only if you have asked us to. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
• To keep accounting and tax records. Our lawful basis is our legal obligations.
• To measure how the website is used, only with your consent to analytics cookies.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

Who we share it with

We only share your information where we need to, with:

• Our own staff, designers, surveyors and fitters, and the trades who work on your project, such as electricians, plumbers and tilers
• Suppliers who deliver products to your home, such as appliance or worktop suppliers, who receive your name, address and phone number
• Service providers who help us run the business and website, such as our website hosting provider, Cloudflare (which stores the website's images and helps protect our forms from spam), our email provider and IT support
• Google, which provides analytics and maps on this website, only if you consent to those cookies
• Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers where needed
• The police, courts or regulators if the law requires it

If you apply for finance, your application is handled by Ideal4Finance and its lenders, who are responsible for your data under their own privacy notices.

Our service providers act on our instructions and must keep your information secure. Some, such as Google, may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not go ahead: 2 years after our last contact, then deleted, including any photos you sent
• Customer records, designs, orders and invoices: six years after the end of the financial year in which your job was completed, to meet tax and legal requirements and to deal with any aftercare or claims
• Marketing consent: until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop
• Analytics data: see our cookie policy

Keeping it secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections on this website, access controls on our systems, and limiting access to staff who need it.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• Ask us to delete your information
• Ask us to restrict how we use your information
• Object to us using your information based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
• Ask for information you gave us to be transferred to you or another organisation
• Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent

Some rights have exceptions, for example we may need to keep invoices for tax purposes. To use any of these rights, contact us at sales@clevelandkitchens.co.uk. There is normally no charge, and we will reply within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can try to put it right.
