Our story

Cleveland Kitchens & Bedrooms has been designing, making and fitting kitchens and bedrooms since 1985. Over the years we have supplied and fitted thousands of kitchens and bedrooms across the North West, and most of our work still comes from people who have seen a friend's kitchen or come back to us for their next one. Over 90% of our installations come from recommendations or returning customers.

Why we make our own units

Working with off-the-shelf carcasses, we kept running into the same limits: fixed sizes, weeks of waiting for anything special, and cabinets that had to be cut down on site. So we started making our own. Today every carcass for our kitchens and bedrooms is made in our workshop in Kirkby, with a 3mm edge band on the front edge that is much thicker than standard. That became our own range, Cleveland Bespoke, and it means we can make a unit to any size and turn orders round quickly.

Showroom and workshop under one roof

Our showroom is on the Yardley Centre in Kirkby, with full display kitchens, hundreds of sample doors, over 100 handles and a large range of worktops. The workshop is next door, and customers are welcome to see their units being made. We can do everything from a single replacement door to a complete kitchen and bedroom, under one roof.

The team

Our team includes designers, surveyors, workshop staff and our own fitters. Customers often mention them by name: Brian, one of our kitchen planners, and Franny and Steve, two of our fitters.

How we work

• Free design, with scaled drawings and 3D plans, until you decide to go ahead
• A surveyor measures everything before we make anything
• Units made to measure in Kirkby and assembled before delivery
• Our own fitters, with plumbing, electrics, plastering and tiling arranged for you
• A WhatsApp group during the fit, so you and every trade stay in touch
